I live in Stirling and am completing my Master's in Publishing at the University of Stirling. I was born in Glasgow but moved to Ireland when I was five so decided to discover the 'land of my birth' while finishing my studies. Stirling is outside Glasgow and Edinburgh at the foothills of the Highlands. It is a small town though Edinburgh and Glasgow are only under an hour away on the train.
My house
This is the house where I live called "Friarscroft". You can see my bedroom window at the very top of the house. I have cool housemates from all over Europe. In our beautiful sitting room are: Front row - Sami(Finland) Gaetan(Belgium)
Back row: Eva(Finland) Inger(Norway) Birgette(Denmark) Aviva(Great Britain/Israel) Annick(France)
Stirling Scenery
These are some photo's of the beautiful scenery in and around Stirling. On the left is the William Wallace Monument (think Mel Gibson in Braveheart). You can see the monument from my back bedroom windows. On the right is the Dumyat mountain overlooking the loch on campus. It is a beautiful mountain and the views are spectacular, as my housemates and I saw at the top. But be warned, wrap up warm, it's very windy!
The pictures above are of Stirling Castle which overlooks the town. You can see this from the front windows of my bedroom and it looks cool all lit up at night. This castle was lived in by Mary Queen of Scots, so Stirling is knee deep in Scottish history.
